GeneOS licenses Waban Software’s Biological Sample and Laboratory Information Management System
IBM to Host GeneOS Servers
CAMBRIDGE, MA and HELSINKI, Finland (August 5, 2005) – Waban Software, the leading provider of software solutions for clinical and genomics data management and analysis, today announced that GeneOs, Ltd, a Finnish BioHealthcare Information company selected Waban’s solution to form the core of operational as well as patient database.
GeneOS will leverage Waban’s Biological Sample and Laboratory Management, and Data Analysis and Reporting System for building and coupling patients' longitudinal healthcare data with information from blood samples.
Waban’s Biological Sample & Laboratory Information Management System will be used to support the clinical and operational need of GeneOS for collecting the patient's medical history,drug history and genetic information into specific biohealth database, which serves as a comprehensive repository of retrospective and prospective data.
Waban’s solution will form the centralized database to store information in an integrated environment that originated from various registries making the analysis of the clinical outcomes easier and more efficient. The software will be deployed on GeneOS’ servers managed by IBM Hosting Services in Helsinki, Finland. IBM will provide technical and operation support, security enhanced networking to GeneOS and hospitals, and control the servers.
