Himanshu Oberoi, Ph.D
President and Chief Scientific Architect
Prior to Waban Software, Dr. Oberoi was the Vice President of Bioinformatics at DNA Sciences and at PPGx. As Vice President of Bioinformatics at PPGx, a joint venture between PPD and Axys Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Oberoi led the design and development of infrastructure platform products GeneTrials LIMS and GeneTrials Warehouse to collect, manage and integrate genotyping and clinical trials data for use in studying the effects of genetic variation on drug response. Dr. Oberoi has worked with leading pharmaceutical companies to design and develop specific databases and analytical tools for genomics focused discovery, gene expression, high throughput compound screening, clinical data analysis and clinical data management. Dr. Oberoi has been responsible for the development of products like Clintrial and CrossGraphs (at Belmont Research and at PPD). Dr. Oberoi has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Wesleyan University.

Pankaj Tyagi
Vice-President of Product Development
Most recently he was Director of Technology for Veridiem, where he designed and developed software for enterprise-class, large-scale marketing analysis and data-mining systems in use at Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Ameritrade, and Porsche Cars. Prior to that Mr. Tyagi was a Principal Architect at Fidelity Investments and was responsible for developing enterprise-wide Marketing data warehouse, CRM and Call Center applications. He was also responsible for designing and delivering customer transaction processing applications. Prior to Fidelity Mr. Tyagi was the lead engineer on an electronic Media Marketplace at AdValue Networks, that was acquired by Reuters. The system Mr. Tyagi built accounts for nearly $4 billion a year in spot broadcast advertising done in the US. Mr. Tyagi has a Bachelors in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and and MS in Information Technology from Boston University.

Pratap Malik, Ph.D.
Vice-President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development
Dr. Malik founded and was the President and member of the Board of Directors of Biosift, Inc., a bioinformatics company in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Malik has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University. He held a Wellcome Trust Fellowship at the University of Cambridge and pursued research at Harvard University prior to founding Biosift. Dr. Malik has published numerous research papers in leading scientific journals.
