Waban LIMS

Waban LIMS is a laboratory information management system that supports clinical genotyping, sequencing, expression, microarrays (including Affymetrix®), clinical pathology, pre-clinical, and other pharmacogenomics and biomarkers related processes. Waban LIMS provides comprehensive sample management and tracking capabilities with complete chain of custody information.

Waban LIMS is a state-of-the-art, GLP and 21CFR Part 11 compliant system that is configurable, extensible, and scaleable application that can match your existing processes and workflow. In addition, it has pre-built interfaces with numerous instruments currently being used in the pharmacogenomics and biomarkers laboratory space.

Optimal Flexibility With a User-Driven Protocol Set-up
The patent-pending process management component allows optimal flexibility in defining laboratory processes. A novel, user-driven interface allows laboratory personnel to map any number of processes defined as laboratory SOPs into Waban LIMS. This enables Waban LIMS to adapt to new laboratory processes without requiring reprogramming. Each step of an SOP or a protocol can include optional validation and checks e.g. ensuring that a specific reagent is added at given step). Adherence to an SOP can be tracked and detailed performance reports can be generated about the execution of a SOP. The process management component allows the laboratory to track samples through a study, the progress of the study, and record the results obtained from procedures conducted during the study.

The workflow engine and database are designed to manage workflows such as task routing, quality review, prioritization, notification and exception handling and can be configured to the specific requirements of a site.
